DID NOT FINISH

It wasn’t as good as the first two I’ve read and I’m still going to read the fourth. Lots of Alice in Wonderland vibes.

Not sure why I didn’t enjoy it as much. Just personal preference.

Great characters. Good plot. Good smut.

Too complex for a short story. Loved MMC though

The smut was top tier, the plot existed. A solid read
medium-paced

I don't know what it is about book three for Emily McIntire, but I haven't liked it in either of her series. This one fell sooo flat for me. I had no concept of any of the characters, and I felt like none of them were enjoyable. The drug plot came out of nowhere, and while I know this is a dark romance series, it really just didn't make sense. I also don't mind the woman being the villain, but Evie was actually insufferable. This book had no redeeming qualities, and everything happened so fast. I also thought Nick was so back and forth. The love felt instant, but also not good. Idk? The dead sister plot was also a little strange. There were just so many things that didn't fit, and I'm glad this one is over.

EMILY MCINTIRE IS BRILLIANT
This is by far my favorite in her “Never After” series.
Evelina is the best morally gray female character I have encountered. I love her as a villain and human balancing so many characteristics.
Nick/Brayden is a great counter part to what she is throughout the story.
I love the plot, beginning to end and everything in between. I have loved ever novel in this series and can’t wait for “Crossed”!
I finished this is one day…definitely recommend but be warned this is a spicy book!

(4⭐️/3.5🌶)

Well-done! I was wondering the whole time "how is this gonna work out?!" So it was not predictable. The spice was nice and it was refreshing to have the morally gray be the FMC. A nice little read!

I enjoyed the MCs, but separately. I wasn't really all consumed by their romance, but I did enjoy their characters. I enjoyed the plot more than the romance. Thank goodness Eveline killed her stupid family.
