This was just such a fun, tense, quick and easy read thanks to my friend would has never shut up about this book and about how she much is loved it and how amazing this book was, as I did not love it as much as she did but I did have a really good time with this book. I think that was one the best ways to describe this books is One Of Us Is Lying but with an actually murder!!!

I can't lie it was actually a really stressful read for me because I fear I got wayyy to into it, like this book was just so fucking batshit but I kinda lived for it. I just didn't know how and where this book was going to go. However I did think that whole Mattie's boyfriend Derrick hearing them get rid of the body when it was so obvious that he thought he was cheating on him, even though I will say this was my least favourite part of the story was their whole relationship drama, it was toxic and fuck and I didn't give less of a shit when they broke up because your girl was just sooo over it. Don't get me wrong the writing or the storyline of this book is nothing groundbreaking or special but I just had so much fun reading this and I just thought it was just a really good mystery book. Also at times the writing did in fact made me cringe because it felt really obvious at time that it was an older person trying to writing and sound like teenagers and at time this just didn't work. Like no teenager uses the word 'narc'. This wasn't the only element of the story that I either didn't like, it didn't work or even make me feel about unsure and uncomfortable and it was normally due to how the women in this book were portrayed and writing. Especially coming towards Ivy I don't know I feel about she wrote her, there were a number of different times when it was mention that girls like her don't eat food like her, it just felt really shallow and no matter how many times it felt like Ivy was growing and developing and realising that there is more to her life than her being popular or the it girl. There was just a number of different comments about her looks or her body and it just felt really unnecessary and it was just not needed.  Saying that it doesn't mean that I didn't like Ivy because I did she really gave me Heather Chandler vibes like she knew she was a bitch but she was an iconic one at that. The another element of this book that made me feel uncomfortable was the low key ableism of Kinley and her earpiece things, I just didn't like how she was never really challenged about that and it was actually kind of portrayed as a bad bitch and badass move and it wasn't as a hearing child of deaf parents, being deaf is something that people should fake just should they cheat me and my family have dealt with a number of bigotry over the years, to people treating my parents as if they are stupid or don't exist, or that they were shitty parents purely because they were deaf this element of the story really pissed me off as I don't feel like there is nearly enough representation any of  disability in books, it just shouldn't be used as a plot Devices as I feel like if you wanted to bring in the whole plot line of the earpiece there were a number of different ways such as Tyler Parole Officer or the police trying to get them to backstab each-other. I just think the author and the publishing house should have done better...  Also why was everyone life in this book was just so chaotic like these people must be rich because this whole people was really just so rich people shit. Another thing about this book I just didn't get or like it was the way that Ivy and Mattie just couldn't be friends we didn't need that weird romance but not romance things,  not that I would have been mad about if Mattie was Bi but there was absolutely no indication or mention before hand, I just really loved their friendship and like why couldn't they have just been friends? You know that a girl and a boy can be friends right...

I would 100% say that if you were a big fan of Karen M. McManus, especially One Of Us Is Lying, you should give a it a read as I don't want to say that she has copied this some of the characters because that she unfair but they're are very similar to the extend that it felt to similar but I am not going to say anything more on that. Especially Kinley, Tyler (who gave huge and massive Nate and Brownyn vibes, however it was not nearly as good) and Ivy who gave of Addy vibes. Okay I mean it I am really not going to say anything else on that.

Now I am going to talk about the things that I did really like. With one of my favourite things about this book being Kinley and Tyler relationship however I was a little bit stressed and on edge of as I thought they were going to fuck each other over and hurt each other. I thought they were cute but I just didn't trust them and I  am still not sure if they actually do like each other or the are just using each other and I will said that she was very much I am the drama, I don't think I am the drama, I am the villain, I don't think I am villain. Like I have said this book was really and I mean really batshit like girl, what the fuck was going on as everyone is fucking with each other everyone ism lying and everyone was planning and where read to ruin each other to save themselves.  Like there were really just fucking snakes like it was just pissing me off like what the fuck, I just didn't know who to trust or anyone intentions I don't make me wrong it was one of the reason why I really liked this book. Also I am the only one who thought it was absolutely batshit that Mattie have a serious head injury and they were making it off as if he was going to die and then less than 20 pages later he was just fine and was just vibing.

Also I am not sure how I am going to process that ending like what the fuck AHHHHHHHHHHH.  That plot twist that that actually never killed him and they really nearly got away with it  but they have sent the fucking flash drive like why didn't they just wait one more day and then they would I have all been fine,I just going to have to just pretend that didn't happen but girl I am and was in shock like I audibly gasped because I know its sounds bad but I really wanted them to get away with it. I want them all to be okay and I just wanted Kinley and Tyler to have an happy ending and now will we never know.   I need to know what happens next girl where is book two, I really hope there is going to be a book two because I need that. But like Cade was a bit of a dick so if he is the only one who gets into shit I wouldn't be mad about it because what was the whole reason behind him going after Mattie the whole time and than nearly killing him... like what was the reason.

"It was a plain bubble mailer. It has been sent July 3. He slipped a finger beneath the flap to tear it open and a small flash drive fell out. A flash drive and a type note on the plainest of paper. Everything you need to know about Stratford. He stated at the paper. He set his briefcase down on the floor. And then Daniel plugged the flash drive into his computer.

Leaves so much to be desired - tense but it felt like the writing was just incredibly drawn out for no reason. It was the book equivalent of trying to reach the word limit on your essay. Some events were just - suspended in mid book-air for no reason. The ending is when stuff actually started getting good but then the book was just, cut right then.
