Like? It is nicely written, but nothing we didn’t already know? So I enjoyed it but it was meh

Beautifully eloquent and concise, and eminently quotable, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's "We Should All Be Feminists" should be required reading/viewing (of the TEDx talk from which this book came) in schools across the globe. Adichie sums up society's gender problem magnificently while dismantling harmful negative stereotypes about feminists and women. A quick, easy read that will change your life. Most highly recommended to anyone and everyone.

i have wanted to read this for a while but was hesitant due to hearing there were problematic elements/the author herself was problematic & i definitely agree with that, but i’m still glad to have finally read it.

i agreed with most of the points and i think the overall message is a very important one and something that needs to be spread.
i just wish it was more inclusive and that Adichie herself was a more inclusive feminist.

i recommend reading this review for more detail on it’s issues

4 ⭐️ great essay with concrete examples of inequality

A 30 min listen as it’s a short essay, some powerful points and easy examples to be stored for future conversations with the type of people that think women are already treated equally.
