My third book from Ryan Holiday and also quickly finished it via Audible. The title of this book says it all and it is great way to view the challenges you face in a different perspective. The book is split into 3 parts: Perception, Action, and Will. Perceive the events that happens in your life in a neutral way. Then focus on the action or process of the challenge, and not the end result. Then have the will to persist through your challenges. He continues to illustrate these parts of the book through many anecdotes to drive the point home. I will definitely listen to this book again after I have read more Stoic philosophy books.

3.5/5

A very good easy to read introduction to Stoic Philosophy. This book is essential a long series of anecdotes with some stoicism thrown in to back them up. The philosophy is presented like self help which makes it easy to read, it’s just not my favorite style. Some of the stories are great and help to drive the point home, others not so much. Grant at the battle of Vicksburg is by far my favorite!

Though I did it love it I do feel motivated and I DO want to check out more stoic philosophy and become a better man of action, so it does it’s job nicely!
