This had some good tidbits on ways to improve fearlessness in pursuing your goals. I love listening to these types of books, especially on my commute to work. Easy to listen to and good anecdotes to incorporate into your daily life. Would absolutely recommend, especially to anyone who feels like they are in a rut.

Ryan Holiday does it again. After Still is the Key, this is my second favorite. So many good reminders for when challenging times arise.

This tiny, very easy to read volume is chock full of wisdom on how to get through life. Holiday brings together the greatest hits of Stoic philosophy, stories and sayings from many great people in history (from Teddy Roosevelt to Steve Jobs) to create an philosophical infrastructure for the modern day. The key of course is to never give up, to find the way that the obstacle shows you. Highly recommened for everyone, but more so for younger folks who will get the most from it.

The end interview in the audio book is really good-- and a great introduction to modern stoicism. Unfortunately, the focus of the book is obvious self-help suggestions with historical/contemporary examples that are either obvious as well, or not that well explained. Read 48 Rules of Power instead.

Wallowing in you're own misery and circumstance won't get you anywhere but the presentation of these thoughts came across very superficial and pretentious.
