Self-help, very informative
I can’t wait to burn this book. Recommended to me by a shitty ex, it’s no surprise the book is exactly what he was like: boring, self-absorbed, and unaware. Perfect for cis white men who never view themselves as the problem and that people are there to be used. Unsurprising knowing that Holiday worshipped Greene, the author of the disgusting 48 Laws of Power book.
All you need to know is that I am successful, happy, and well-liked and my ex, who worships this book, is not any of those things.

Woof. Repackaged bootstrap individualism. Marcus Aurelius worship. A book version of "life is 90% how you react to it." Completely disregarding actual inequity. Boo.

This book gave me some good nuggets to be stoic and possess a stronger mindset.
One of the best books I've read this year easily!
