"Looking other people's pain in the eye was much easier than facing your own."
I didnt think I'd enjoy Clover's story. I thought it would be super depressing and no way to recover. Yes, there are many sad moments, but the growth Clover has is beautiful and inspiring. I didnt know there were things such as death doula's but I couldn't do their job. Clover was beyond sweet and amazing. But she was so caught up with helping others she forgot to help herself and live her life. I love her journey from recluse to a woman actually living. Genuinely a beautiful story. I love BOTM for exposing me to new stories and new authors! A win for this book

“Grief is just love looking for a place to settle.”
The Collected Regrets of Clover is a story about grief and living life without regrets or fear.
This book was SO sweet and surprisingly heart-warming despite it following the life of a death doula. The lessons from this book are something I will hold close to my heart and this may be a book I revisit when I need to face my own grief.
I’m glad it all ended on a happy note which resulted in many tears from me

A cute and fun read but definitely not what I expected.
It took me way longer than I was anticipating to finish reading.

At first, although I was enjoying it, I thought it was pretty light and a little predictable. However, I ended up really enjoying it and thinking it had a lot of valuable messages. I especially think Brenda would like it and now realize Brenda read it and that's why I did. Thank you Brenda! Another positive thing about the book was that it listed a number of other books that might be enjoyable and I agree.
4.0. An accessible story of a quiet life learning to live past regrets. I liked it and can see some resemblance to my own life, or anyone's life, where you're too concerned about the challenges of the uncomfortable or unknown. (Audiobook, Jennifer Pickens. Good, not great.)

Such a beautiful story of someone’s journey of learning to live life, fully and completely.
