The best book I’ve read this year. The strength of sisterhood, the struggle of being a woman, the unrelenting will of women. It made feel endlessly proud of being a woman, and endlessly thankful for all the brave women who came before me, who fought with their bodies so I only have to fight with my words.

On another note I am also delighted that Juniper is all but explicitly aroace and all the other queer representation in this book

I was bawling my eyes out for the whole last 50 pages. I did not see that coming but it made such perfect sense. The grief of sisters was so well portrayed that I’m pretty sure I felt the echo of my own heart breaking

This book was so well done. I couldn't put it down. It's been a long time since I've had something so truly engrossing.

What an amazing read. I can feel how Harrow has honed her craft in this book. So punchy and I did not feel that I could predict the story in such a fun and surprising way.

Finally read this! It's been on my tbr for years. I like the characters and the writing, as well as the weaving in of historical accuracies. <Spoiler> the "square shirtwaist factory" instead of the triangle shirtwaist factory was really funny to me. I think the main thing I didn't like was how long this was. The pacing could have been improved, and at points it seemed like the author wanted to tackle a lot of subjects but ran out of time in the story to weave it all together. Overall, though, it was good, and I'm glad I read it.
