Really enjoyed Cameron’s prose, at least every second page has a quote or line that could easily be used to sell this book. The story felt a little ‘Hunt for the Wilderpeople’, with similar humour and tropes of being on the run from authorities with hugely endearing characters. The pacing in some parts was a little odd but overall I really loved reading this.

dark comedy about desperation at the hands of a river and its epic mismanagement. who's responsible when water is damned legally upstream in one state, causing never ending drought downstream in 3 others?
