It was well written and tugged at the heart strings but I didn't feel the connection to the plot or the characters. I loved all of the yard work and now want to plant entire gardens, but I didn't find the storyline all that enticing. The romance also seemed to be more behind the scenes and no one seemed to run into each other all that often making them seem to be moving too fast (which perhaps was the point).

I had to read a romance for my Adult Popular Fiction class and randomly came across this Nora Roberts title. It was a quick, easy read that may have been made more tolerable and somewhat enjoyable with the mystery genre thrown in as well.
emotional funny mysterious slow-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Plot

Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: Yes

This was a reread, and a hell of a one at that. I needed to refresh on it since I just got the follow ups. As a mother I can totally relate to the women. Which is a reason why I love reading Nora Roberts. It's so easy to fall into the story and relate to the characters. Yoy can unwind with the books, because it's light reading and you don't have to think and think about the plot. Add in a nice legend about a ghost and you have a winning combination.

One of my favorite books of all time and my #1 Nora Roberts book!

4.5/5

This book hasn’t been what I expected, It has been so much better than I thought it would be

This is my first Nora Roberts book and I loved it, I chose this book months ago from a bookstore because I wanted to read something from Nora Roberts, This book was for months in my shelf, I didn’t even think I was going to read this book any time soon, but one day I just grabbed the book and I started reading it, I did not know the plot, the characters, anything, I read the synopsis , months ago and I didn’t remember anything

This book has been a surprise because months after buying the book, I started doing gardening and reading about this has been really cool to me
I don’t usually go for ghost books and when the ghost appeared for the first time i didn’t like it (rembember that i didn’t know what this book was about) but Nora Roberts did her work so well that I loved the ghost story and I’m excited ro continue this series

The characters were really good, the plot too and I really enjoyed the story of Stella, Hayley and Roz, I can’t wait to read the next book
mysterious medium-paced

This book has such high ratings on Amazon and Goodreads, and I dove eagerly into it, only to have it fizzle out on me. And as I’ve been saying to romance novels for quite a while now, “It’s not you; it’s me.” And I’m convinced it’s definitely me. Romance tropes no longer hold my interest. Roberts is undoubtedly the mistress of the genre. She writes beautifully, her characters are engaging and realistic, and when I’m reading I’m happy to be flipping pages. But when I put the book down, I realize I have no intention of picking it up again, and I have to force myself to do so, which is what ended up happening with this novel the entire time I was reading it. I’m sure it didn’t help that I don’t enjoy gardening at all, and the side plot with the ghost felt tacked on. Too bad… I had such high hopes that Nora Roberts would be able to drag me out of my romance reading slump. But if she can’t do it, I’m starting to doubt that anyone can.

Great Romantic Ghost story. Love Nora Roberts and just about anything has written. Kept me laughing and wanting to cry and then wanting to slap the characters and then turn around and hug them.

I enjoyed this - the usual romantic formula but done with thought and the added interest of paranormal and the obvious lead ins to the following books in the trilogy. A light read for a sunny afternoon in the garden.
