Full disclosure, this is my first book that I have read by Hafsah Faizal and my first book about a heist.
I loved the concept of this story, but something fell flat for me. I think there were just so many different elements that it made the execution difficult and I felt like this book was all over the place at times. The pacing was slow in the beginning and picked up as it went on. The ending was exciting and left me wanting more.
I had mixed feelings about the characters. Arthie was interesting but I didn’t love her. Jin and Matteo were my favorites and I would have loved to get a POV of Matteo.
Overall, I thought this was just okay, but I like it enough to read the next one.

This book wanted to be something more than it is and the try hard effect is VERY strong. Do not recommend if you require substance over barely there vibes.
