It's Sci Fi and Hallmark all in one

So, not to offend anyone, I literally bought this to be an outrageous, corny Christmas read and it basically was. Overall the core story was sweet and a happily ever after. Then you get to throw in all the science fiction of aliens and imortals and telepathic reindeer. I'm not gonna lie, I skimmed over the steamy scenes, but overall this book was exactly what I expected and I may read it again next Christmas.

I received this book for free from in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. This was a really quick, sweet read. One that was over the top with the Santa myth. That said though it was so enjoyable! I must say that Griz was my favorite character even though he is a secondary character. He was great in that all he wanted to do was be something more than an elf. As far as the main characters go Kris and Jessica they were so wonderful.

Jessica woke while in the hospital when she was little on Christmas Eve. In waking she saw Santa and the miracle he gave her. From that moment on she believed and no one or nothing could convince her otherwise. Little did she know was that she made an impression on Santa as well. So much so that he has been watching and visiting her since that fateful night.

Now Santa is stuck and need help. Help that only his little human can give him. In helping him Jessica finds that even when you discover the person believed in ins't exactly who or what you thought they were, there is still magic. A magic that seems as though fate brought together. If you are looking for an amazing read that won't leave you hanging this is the one for you. This review was originally posted on A Lucky Grace

Be aware: contrary to the cover, Alien Santa is not, repeat not, red!

Heroine is a nitwit of the highest order, and in the normal course of things I'd be outraged that she got Alien Santa. But he was a moron, so have at it!

Some edit issues, with weird fragments of first person POV intruding.

The reindeers drinking, eating carrots, and such were cute -- but this book was too cheesy for more than a star. STILL, it was better the some of them out there (*cough* Kadin) I won't look at Santa the same way again, that's for sure :/

There was basically NO character building in this story. Slow. Boring. Things just happen. C’mon now. It’s an ALIEN SANTA. At least make him red and his beard electric or something!

The idea of Kris playing Santa and healing kids is a cool and pretty unique idea... however I couldn't get over the stalkerness of Kris and him watching (stalking) a child (Jessica) grow into an adult then wanting her sexually kinda creeped me out. It wouldn't be so bad if he was just popping in to check in on her every Christmas then watching her more as an adult, but him watching Jessica throughout the year while she was a kid and then adult just feels wrong, like he's some creepy uncle just watching and waiting for her to come of age. Gross. I know that wasn't the intent, and that Kris didn't start "falling for" Jessica until she was an adult, but it still felt kinda gross reading it because he watched her growing up.

But aside from that, the reindeer were cute and I loved being able to read their thoughts, the story of how he is an alien and how me became "Santa" was unique. But the "sexy" and lovey stuff was pretty awful.
