Heartfelt piano playing in the audio book and learning that Nicholas Sparks ent to Notre Dame for undergrad May have detracted from my enjoyment?

I read this book a few years ago, and like almost everyone who reads it, I fell in love with it.
The way Nicholas Sparks envolves you the story, it makes you feel that you're there, right beside Noah and Allie. If you're the romantic type, you'll cry yourself to sleep reading (and watching the movie!) this.
I don't know what else to say about it, just that it's one of the best love stories that I have ever read.
I'll be seeing you,

- Ana

this book having 4.15 stars is WILDDDDD. this was the most insanely simple book i have ever read, to the point that after a couple pages u see that this book was written explicitly to be turned into a much more enjoyable movie. why is nicholas sparks actually the most boring writer i’ve ever read in my life.

As expected super emotional but I feel like I almost ruined the reading experience since I have seen the movie and had certain expectations. The only thing I would’ve hoped for is more of them as teenagers on that first summer together. Other than that I loved the way you slowly learn about their connection. I don’t think it’s common in romance books anymore for there to be such a wide breath of a relationship covered and explored. Especially in such a deep and emotional way.

I hate to say this, but the movie does a better job at wrapping the audience up in the story. I can't hate on the book at all, though. It is a classic, short, and to the point love story.

Nothing like a book that makes you cry.
