This book must've been important and groundbreaking for the time when it was published. As a contemporary work it's simply not very good. It's certainly not going to "change you life" as was originally noted on the book cover. Reminds me of a lot of writing from the 1800s. Doesn't really translate well to the modern world. Ends up uneventful with stilted, unrealistic dialogue. I imagine in 50 years this book will fade away and disappear.
