quick review

A decent read with good spice! Not my favorite book but I did enjoy the story and love how the characters are portrayed.

Under the watchful eye of Fang, Kian & Vaughn, I will get my Revenge on the maggots who hurt me. Bit by bit there time will come.

There's a thin line between love and hate!
Rebel & Vaughn stumbled into that line, Head first.
These boys are my absolute favourite, you have a little bit of everything rolled into a gorgeous, panty-dripping trio.

First of all, I listened to the audiobook and compared to the earlier books in this universe, this one is a multi cast narration. But only once I started it I noticed that they have a try to have it be "immersive" by playing background noises. But they were so random and inconsistent (happened so little you forgot they did it until it happened again), it just felt off.

I was looking forward to Rebels story, not even from the rape epilogue in the last book of Bliss's story, but from getting to know her through Psychos. I hoped to learn of her past, since Nash once said that she just showed up one day, didn't want to speak about her past but that she could work. Well, so far, nothing about that. Maybe that will change with the next books? This book really leans heavy in the revenge plot line for her abuse. The death of her mother isnt briefed at all, it feels like (except for sth like her not wanting to step into her mum's bedroom).

Due to the rape and death of her mother I feel like we should've seen more of Bliss too, this is what your BFF is for, but that barely happened either. Yes yes, to give the MMCs of this series page time, but doesn't mean it's right or that I need to like it.

From Fang we kind of only see guilt and anger. I don't know what to think of the other two yet, which tells me that we didn't really get to know them that well yet

and now to say what I really wanted to: who the fuck goes to hide in the basement, especially if there is a lock on the outside and the people you are with don't know where you are and can't be reached because they don't have their phones - also basements tend to have no reception?

Everything went wrong at the party when they went against their two rules: taking the masks off and splitting up. The splitting up could've been prevented by her leaving through the front door and waiting at the car, which was further away, while he went to get her purse and the guys. Though, to be fair,Vaughn (any grown up really) should've known contracts well enough to know not to sign a 3 page small print contract that is the only way you're allowed inside, when they didn't even set up enough light for you to read it. Stuff like that makes me so angry, how can you be so dumb?

Therapy is needed all around

So this book is amazing. Every single character needs therapy though. I love me a good hot mess. I hate the massive cliffhanger I was left on though.

4.75

4.75/5 I loved Rebel and after what happened to her, I want her to get justice. Vaughn I am still deciding on, but Fang is everything. Kian is growing on me.
