This was a tough beginning of the book because of the sexual assault. It wasn't all about sadness though. There were some funny parts, but way more sadness. I mean she gets raped by three evil bastards and then her mom and stepdad are poisoned at their wedding. I actually haven't guessed who did the killing of the parents yet. Of course we don't learn who did it in the first book anyways. Good thing the next book is out already. I will give the second one a shot but a lot of them series get boring. We will see!

I wanted to like this book, I truly did. It was boring, Rebel was portrayed as weak even though her character was supposed to be strong and unfortunately I couldn't make it through to the end. DNF.
