Somehow the mafia arranging a hit at a foreign wedding became more believable then the first, and raised my ranking. This made me laugh out loud a couple times. Worth reading for the banter between the aunties.

A woman hears that someone is planning on murdering someone during her wedding and her Aunties help her try to save the day.

The first book to start my month of reading books next in a series. Loved Dial A for Aunties and this one didn't disappoint.

It knowingly follows the same outline as the first one. I say knowingly because the aunts even joke about it with a "Who did you kill now?!?". The aunts are funny as usual all througout. I even had to look up what a "tosser" was in British slang. It refers to someone who shows "love" to themselves for anyone wondering or planning on reading the book. The only thing that fell short for me was the ending. I think I was just hoping for something a little more exciting.

Overall- super fun read and I hope the author continues with this series.

What can I say? The auntie books are like candy to me, and I just love them. They are so much fun.

I love the way Sutanto works her own background into the story, and I also love her commentary in her authors' notes on the line between representing experiences of different cultures and writing a stereotype. That seems important, given that the aunties are so intentionally over-the-top.

Another thing I love about this book is that it is so very relatable. Even though I don't share her cultural background, nor did I have to deal with the mob at my wedding, I can certainly relate to the feeling of having family members that both make you want to throw your arms around them and also crawl under a rock from embarrassment, often at the same time somehow. I can also relate to the challenges of blending my family's traditions and norms with those of my in-laws. It was so much fun to see that through someone else's eyes.

Finally, it's just plain funny. Ridiculous and cringeworthy, yes, but laugh-out-loud funny.

Wow. This book was wild. I smiled, I laughed, I cringed, I laughed some more but I would expect nothing else from this sequel. The aunties were a little too nutty for me at times that it began to feel on the unbelievable side. But it’s all in good fiction fun so I can’t complain.

I didn’t think I could Love the aunties more than I did! But here we are!!
