I really enjoyed ππͺπ’π π ππ°π³ ππΆπ―π΅πͺπ¦π΄ so I was looking forward to reading this one and seeing what our meddlesome group of aunties would get up to next.
And there is no greater opportunity for a bunch of outrageous events to happen than at the wedding of Meddy.
It was so much fun having Meddy and her aunties back, but I found I didnβt love this one as much as the first.
Just like the first book, the premise was outrageous and there was hilarious, albeit unrealistic, scenarios that played out. I just found them to be a little TOO realistic in this one.
Iβll admit I had a tough time, and if Iβm being honest, I even considered DNFβing about half way through.
But, I stuck with it and the aunties had me laughing out loud. They really are the heart (πππ ππππππ) of this story. The highlight of this book was their attempt at speaking British English and the slang.
All in all this was a cute, fun book and worth the read if youβre looking for a good (outrageous) laugh and donβt take books too seriously.

I LOVE these characters and the absolute chaos that follows them. The authorβs note at the beginning of this book made me appreciate them even more this time round.
That said, this book did feel maybe a little too familiar. Although the plot isnβt the same as the first book, it felt very similar, though I did listen to the audiobook this time round so a bit less invested in the detail of this one.

This series is just fun. I didn't love this as much as I loved the first book, but I still found it hilarious and entertaining and light for a mystery. The foreign family antics are relatable in the best way.
