I likely never would have picked this up if my good friend hadn’t recommended it. I generally like dystopias, but I would have liked a bit more world building and getting to know the backgrounds of the characters. This is my first Stephen King novel though, so maybe that is typical for him. All in all, worth the read!

Unbelievably rich and dark, and a lovely exploration of a slow descent to madness. Not for the faint of heart.
