Delightful , poignant and heartwarming. This a gentle tale with funny, loveable characters. The illustrations are exceptional. Only wish that it was not an abridged version. The book edition is so fine that it deserved to be printed in full.

This book is no plot, just vibes. If you're in the mood to just think about forest animals wearing tweed, and picnics in rowboats, and dinner parties attended by a bunch of tiny creatures, and it's cool with you if that replaces story altogether, you're in luck. Sadly, cuteness alone doesn't get you over 3 stars
