H. D. Carlton is my favorite dark romance writer and I’ve gone through quite a few books in this genre. The balance between tense situations and romance is *chef’s kiss*. I would say this is the book you should start with if you are looking it to dark romance. 

Spice 5 stars!

Spicy, suspenseful, thrilling. Carlton really nailed it with this one. I love Zade and Addie, and love Enzo and Sawyer. The plot with this book is unlike any I’ve read before. I get bored quite easily and can easily predict/foresee plot twists, but never saw it coming with this one.

I'm slowly wading into dark romance books and I'm surprised how much I liked this book. I thought the story line was fantastic as well as the spicy sex scenes. I'd highly recommend it.

I am speechless...this had me hooked! It was just the right amount of spice, but it is a WILD ride. If you like dark romance, this one is REAL dark, so please check the trigger/content warnings. None of this bothered me; however, much of this book left me gasping for air as I needed to know what was going to happen next.
