I think this had potential but I didn't realise it wasn't a standalone and now I can barely remember what happened, which shows how forgetable it is

I wanted her to burn everything to the ground. I enjoyed the book and the narrator 🫶🏿

This book was an amazing, and devastating, read. For some reason I expected this book to be more of a historical fiction and was pleasantly surprised by the world building that the author created. All of the characters were incredibly with flaws that were believable. Also, the book has a few twists and turns that kept me guessing. Overall fully recommend this book, but it’s a heavy read so be prepared.

I really enjoyed the start, but I think it tripped over itself at the end.

It is so bizarre to have the entire book be like 'The church is wrong and is using its dogma to oppress women' and then A) not really address the fact that the religion is inherently like that (father = good, mother = bad), and B) have them be absolutely right about the witches being unredeemable evil.
