But unlike this book, the dictionary also discusses words that are far more pleasant to contemplate. The word “bubble” is in the dictionary, for instance, as is the word “peacock,” the word “vacation,” and the words “the” “author’s” “execution” “has” “been” “canceled,” which make up a sentence that is always pleasant to hear.
Much more enjoyable than the first three books in the series because we've finally gotten into the Baudelaires moving more unhindered by people who won't listen to them, though there is still some of that. The pacing feels like much more of a progression than hitting a brick wall after an adult tells them that they're worrying about nothing, when there is a very clear threat present.
My favourite part of this series has been and continues to be the thickening plot behind the unfortunate events in the form of small hints to a bigger narrative, that are spread throughout the regular formula of each book.

"Violet, Klaus and Sunny were standing with Mr. Poe in front of an enormous apartment building on Dark Avenue, a street in one of the fanciest districts in the city."Book 6 of the Baudelaire's misfortune takes them back to the city and under the care of Mr. and Mrs. Squalor: Esmé and Jerome. This is an extremely rich coupe, where Esme is constantly in the look out of what is 'in'. Jerome, on the other hand is very generous and kind to the Baudelaires, but man was he a pushover. His wife had the last word on everything, which was very frustrating. Count Olaf this time, I'm sorry to say, outsmarts the clever orphans and he manages yet again to escape.
PS: Ersatz is a word that describes a situation in which one thing is pretending to be another (I didn't know that word, so I thought it would be useful to have the definition written down).
