I really enjoyed this book, cover is absolutely stunning. Setting and atmosphere were done here but characters are best part. Pacing is what I have problem with, I never say this but I wish it was longer leight book. Romance is very sweet if you'll want light fantasy look no further.

I loved the way she conveys the message with the stories and parables. The writing is very special and not something I've seen before, but I feel that it is a bit rashed and the development of the connections between the characters is not good. We are only told that the connection exists without developing really developing it.

This was a very easy read! Counting the actual time I spent, it could total maybe 3 hours? Seriously, when I sat down with it I BLEW through it. There isn’t much padding to the writing style, it’s very straightforward and easy to consume. I’d almost say that people in the middle school age range would find this suitable, more than young adult. (This is not a bad thing!)

I had a fun time, and I liked the little twists at the end. Some I saw coming more than others, but all made sense. I do think that, just due to personal preference, because this book felt so quick and easy to read I didn’t feel super intense emotion towards it. It was sweet, charming, and almost read like a folk story at times (which is probably the intent!) and definitely not a bad palate cleanser.

The characters are diverse in personality, but with the simplistic writing style I do lose track of what they look like at times 😅 I think the MC, Mina, is a very likable and well-written female character. Honestly I enjoyed the sense of dignity and respect given to the female characters in general, and how (to keep it vague) the men of interest have a sort of traditional-honorable intent that is not at all misogynistic.

Oddly, I think I would have rated this higher if I listened to this in audio format. Something about the writing style definitely gives off a word-of-mouth vibe.
