Good short story where we finally get to see Sam and Jory tie the knot
It wouldn’t be a Jory story without something out of the ordinary happening to him
Entertaining quick read

I want to return to this review once I finish this series, as I read this one out of order, because I read the Marshals series first and I wanted to read more about Kane.
Because, read on its own, this story doesn't feel complete. It feels more like a set piece or outtake than a whole novel, and left me disappointed. By contrast, had I read a Marshals book out of order, I'd know I had, but they are all three very complex and fulfilling. The comparison was startling. (Still glad I read it, though, hence the fourth star.)
