Fire was a really good sequel to The Circle, it had the same feel but with higher stakes and some interesting new characters. Most importantly, the characters I came to love in the first book all had really good development in this one. Every single one of them changed in some way, and I really enjoyed it.

It's always rare for me to read a book that's really long without realizing just how long it is. Fire is the longest book I've read all year, but it didn't bother me in the slightest. There was a lot of backstory on the different girls' home lives but I cared enough about each of them to stay interested.

SpoilerThere's also a part where bodyswap is used as a plot point which is really fun to read and a great way to show the girls some of the other people's lives. I think that was my favorite part of this book.

Dear Lord, that was NOT the ending I expected! This book was absolutely fantastic, and I loved how the authors managed to stay true to the ambience created in the first book while adding so many more interesting things. I absolutely adored that we finally got to read from Ida's point of view and gain some more understanding of her. Linnéa is adorable as usual, and I can't help but love Vanessa. Even though so many things got so much darker I think this book avoided the middle-of-a-trilogy curse. Can't wait to read the last one!

Oh my god. This book was so-so-so good. I can't even... I usually don't like Swedish books but this series is amazing.

Enjoyable but not as fast paced as the first book with the majority of the action taking place in the last two hundred pages which for a book over 600 pages is a lot to get through before the real action starts. I am hoping that the third and final book has a lot more magical elements to it than the first two books. This series is about witches, but there is not a lot of witchy action. I guess I thought there would be a lot more of that kind of thing given the subject of the book, but as with the first book, there seems to be a very limited amount of actual "witch" scenes. Or maybe my expectations were a bit too high.

Wow what an intense ending! But I felt it was a bit long at some points and it dragged on a bit. However I like the characters and how they are developing. So Im curious to see where it will end in the last one :)

3.5 stars. Took a while for this book to get going but the second half was REALLY good.
