“Our anxiety is warranted, and it’s not unreasonable to suggest that we might channel that anxiety into fiction, but the problem with the theory is, our anxiety is nothing new. When have we ever believed that the world wasn’t ending?”

“We knew it was coming and were breezy about it.”

I think about these two quotes and the duality that exists between them. We float somewhere on this spectrum of fearing the worst yet already accepting its course. Emily captures this essence perfectly.

Listened to the audiobook and it was wonderful, great cast. Didn't realize I skipped The Glass Hotel, so it's time to go back and discover more of ESJM's universe!

It's been so long since I've read Station Eleven, and it was so nice to revisit this author's work once again. A gift from my dad, I did NOT expect such a passionate story in so few pages, but that's what I got. Laughter, awe, tears, all the emotions. Definitely looking for The Glass Hotel to read next.

4.5/5 rating. Such an interesting and cerebral book. It’s a unique idea that is executed well. The book interconnects seamlessly and tires together at the end. The author does a wonderful job integrating the pandemic without the typical pandemic fatigue. I absolutely love this book and there has been nothing similar to it

Hard to be short and a waste of time. I bet this would blow my mind if I had never read or watched anything with time travel. I’m gonna assume writing this was like a covid lockdown write, but doesn’t work in metaphor or make interesting points. Also meta stuff fell flat for me.

Writing wasn’t bad, flowed well. I might check out the authors other work.
