This book was actually a bit boring, but it was fun nonetheless.

Little things that I noticed and felt the need to share:
  • BERTRAM. Just, Bertram the frog footman in all his glory.
  • Flora's magic is so freaking cool! I think it's awesome that both her costume and her special items are constantly changing. It makes sense that the fairy in charge of costumes and events related to costumes would be extra af and apply that to her powers too.
  • I absolutely LOVE that the girls dressed up as angels rather than fairies, because that's what you'd expect, but then they didn't do that and 7-year-old me would've definitely been like WHOA.
  • The consequence of the missing mask being that the guests were literally turning into what they were dressed as was actually a really awesome idea! Flora also looked adorable as a witch.
  • I also think that turning the girls' cardboard harps into real harps is one of the coolest presents that Kirsty and Rachel have ever received.
