An excellent romantic mystery story that fits seamlessly into Conan Doyle's world of Sherlock Holmes. Great characters, engaging plot and a real feeling that you are right there with the most famous consulting detective of them all

What if Sherlock Holmes fell in love? Of course, it couldn't be simple, direct, or socially acceptable, now could it? It would have to come with intrigue, danger, and suspense. And this one does! I really enjoyed this imagined love affair for the classic character.
Christian writes with heart and humor. This is the second Sherlock related story I've read by her (the other: [b:The Ghost and Dr. Watson: A Shadow Council Archives Novella|38622686|The Ghost and Dr. Watson A Shadow Council Archives Novella|Alexandra Christian|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1519081706l/38622686._SY75_.jpg|60238698] ) and I love her approach to the world, which both reinterprets and modernizes the characters and creates stories that fit into the canonical tales.
