Richtig gutes Buch aber leider auch furchtbar deprimierend. Ein Augenöffner, really.

this is a good biography of the prosecutor and legal thinker, Fritz Bauer. He's probably most famous for his role as the lead prosectuor of the Auschwitz trial in Frankfurt, but he was also active in advocating for Gay rights in the 1960s before his death, and for general advocacy of liberal criminal justice reforms. I would give the book five stars, but it ends a bit abruptly and doesn't have an epilogue or concluding reflection.
