Haunting and incredibly well researched, Into Thin Air paints a detailed picture of a disaster that I didn’t even know about. I listened to the audiobook and while it was good, I think I could’ve benefited from seeing the names and places written down.
Also, to any visual learners out there, highly recommend googling pictures of the famous parts of Everest. (Hillary Step, Southern Col, etc)

This book was really just fantastic, I love Jon Krakauer’s writing. Before reading this book I had no idea he had summitted Everest or the difficulties he had faced. Overall, I rate this book a 4.25 cause there were a few parts where it felt like it really dragged, but then again it’s his own experience so how can you say their story dragged on a bit. However, this book was gripping and honestly really good
