I was shocked with the amount of regret the characters had, and no one ever told the other person they loved them - however I think this is just a culture difference which I can appreciate because it shows the different expressions of affection outside of what I am used too. I think the stories meanings were great, the storytelling and beginnings of each character sections were very repetitive and fell flat for me a lot of times, so I just kept skipping to the actual meetings. Still a pretty chill read id say and I would suggest audiobook over reading for this book.

this was alright at best in all honesty. i feel like it lacked the charm that all the others in this series had, even if it had the same elements. human nature, emotions, and how we feel, and express, grief. i felt like the stories in this particular collection were rather weak; something was missing. the first one felt too abrupt, it entered at a weird point in conversation and it ended on another rather odd point, the second one felt rushed and the last two felt painfully shallow. compared to the other books, this lacked a lot more of the emotional material and it felt incredibly rushed through. i wouldn't exactly recommend this book for the aforementioned reasons, but it wasn't entirely terrible for me to rate it anything below 3 stars. it was just alright and i think that the other books in this series were infinitely better.
