Probably the most beautiful feminist book I've ever read. Packed with nuance. Relentless in its compassion for men, and for the women who have been wronged by them. It actually offers a path for men to heal from the patriarchal conditioning that often forces men to cut off a piece of their souls in order to fulfill its inflexible roles. I highly recommend this to people of all genders who wish to heal from patriarchy, but especially to men and masc people. Don't worry, guys, this isn't an anti-man book. It's very fair and compassionate to the male experience and extends you a lot of grace. This book is also honest and frank about the harm that men conditioned under patriarchy can cause, but it will never reduce you to that or minimize the suffering you also go through under this system.
