It's hard to choose just one label because it's really a compilation of several different types of writing from a multitude of indigenous women throughout America and Canada. I loved the harsh realities and content provided even though it angered and upset me at times. I just didn't understand organization of it all. I rated this purely on content.

Powerful, heartbreaking, and inspiring all at the same time. Highly recommended.

3 1/2 stars. The only reason I did not rate this higher, was that I wanted more content. The pieces that made it into the book are wonderful, and I loved most of the original art as well. But I just felt like there should have been more included to make this truly spectacular. Most of the pieces included in here are less than one page, and I would have liked to see more overall, or more in-depth/longer stories added in to balance it out.
