Very cute friends to lovers story and I’m really happy it was a bi-awakening instead of GFY. Jamie and Wes are adorable together and there was lots of good development between them. Wasn’t a fan of all the bro-speak, though I guess that’s par for the course of the setting and time of publication (can’t believe it was originally published 10 years ago!!). Doesn’t hold a candle to Shane & Ilya though ;)
Graphic: Homophobia, Sexual content
Moderate: Cursing, Alcohol
Minor: Racial slurs, Vomit
Everything you could hope for from a smutty gay romance. Gets to the point quickly and has enough fun set ups to make it interesting while keeping believable and warm main characters.
Very very sad I didn’t get a good Jamie bottoming POV but otherwise I loved how easy and fun this book was. Idk if I want to read the sequel because it would have too much homophobia and fear when they hid their relationship. If anything it makes me want to re-read the Rachel Reid hockey books

This book was so much fun. And sexy and sweet. I love the dual point of view, it's always a plus!
I enjoyed it way more than I expected (idk why I was expecting less than this, since I end up loving all Elle Kennedy books, but reading my first book by Sarina too made me a bit nervous).
I loved the way their friendship evolved into a relationship, and everything seemed believable to me. It's just, I was expecting a bit more umph. I'm used to the social issues present in all the Elle Kennedy books I've read, and while there are definitely some in this, too, I wanted a bit more intensity. But since this couple has more books, maybe the drama is spread thinner? I'll be reading the next in the series!
