That was a power play

I finally gave in to BookTok and read Him—and OMG, why did I wait so long??

Story of Wes and Jamie

I love everything Elle Kennedy and Sarina Bowen writes and this book is another great addition to their backlist.

Wes and Jamie are adorable!

Highly recommend reading this book.

I’m not a huge fan of second chance romance but this was done a lot better than others I’ve read. It still had a healthy amount of angst and yearning, but it wasn’t drawn out too badly to where I was just sad. I liked that the issues in this book were actual real-world, career-ending issues (as sad as that is, honestly) that were solved in a way that worked out for everyone. It made you feel hopeful that maybe there’s just as much good in the world as bad instead of a crazy imbalance of bad lol

Only complaint is it wasn't longer. I wanted more, more, more! I loved the story of Ryan and Jamie. I've been on an angsty mm spree lately, so I kept expecting
Spoilersomething bad to happen, but nope! Just a second act breakup that was resolved very quickly.
Made all the better listening to Jacob Morgan and Teddy Hamilton.
