I usually don't like the phrase oh well they were a product of their time, but Emily even though Sapphic is a product of her time. Some of the prejudices are hard to overlook

Emily Dickinson was probably the first poet I was ever introduced to as a child so I decided to go back and read her collection. They’re still just as beautiful and haunting as I remember.
