A cute tiny little life for a cute tiny person.

Backman never disappoints. I especially loved the children in this book.

I love every bit of how Backman describes the world through the eyes of his characters. His books make me a better person.

Britt Marie was one of my favorite characters from My Grandmother asked Me To Tell You She’s Sorry. This book picks up at Britt-Marie’s story at the end of that book, but it isn’t necessary to read book books.

I loved how Britt Marie grew and dealt with how do you be seen for yourself not simply in relationship to someone else. How do you find the courage to move on and/or do new things/embrace your dreams?

I really struggled to get into this book. I found the main character really frustrating and unlikable at first. But it really picked up about a third of the way through and by the time I got halfway through, I was really annoyed when the digital loan of the book got recalled from my reading app on my phone. I had to wait 4 weeks to borrow the book again and I have to say the second of the book is so beautiful. I don't usually feel moved to write book reviews, but this book deserves to be talked about. Definitely a book I will recommend to others.

I am a big fan of Fredrik Blackman, but was not enamored with this book. It started to feel like it was too long. I may revisit it in future, give it another shot!
