I love the world building but the storyline is definitely lacking.

A story about 100 incredibly disregulated teenagers from a neocapitalist space colony who are sent to Earth to see if it's safe after a mass-death event. The main character, Clarke, has a love interest named Wells, who: purposefully commits a crime in order to be sent to Earth with Clarke in order to "watch over her,"; does this after effectively sentencing her parents to death and herself to exile; expedites this Earth voyage by intentionally sabotaging an airlock on the ship which puts into motion the 2nd mass-death event the human race will experience /just/ so that he can have her sent to Earth instead of being executed; and somehow after doing all of this, feels incredibly entitled to and jealous of her attention. This book doesn't really send a great message to young readers who are learning about how to court someone they like.

3 1/2 stars.

This is another one that was partially ruined by watching the show first. The books were good, don't get me wrong. It's just compared to the TV show there wasn't near as much action. I like that there are certain characters in the book, that somehow got cut from the show. I guess their story line wasn't enough for the show, but it's like I am getting something a little extra by reading about them in the book.

I will continue with books two and three in the future!

I honestly don’t know why I give this four instead of five stars but somehow five stars doesn’t feel right.

I loved this book. The pace. The characters. The setting.

Absolutely in love with Bellamy and would absolutely die for Glass‘s relationship :,)

You have two different settings here that are separate from each other but both are really catchy and interesting.

In total there are Four pov‘s all from really different characters.
All of them trying to survive and help their beloved ones.

Honestly I’m too tired to go to much into detail but this book was a great start of a promising series and I can’t wait to keep reading. :)

Was not as bad as the first reviews I stumbled across. I sort of liked it, because I am currently watching the series, but I do not recall all what happened in the first ones. I do have a temptation to watch the series all over again, but also I do wanted to know how it is different from the show. Okay, enough about the reasons behind why, but the book was sort of good anyways and besides that there wouldnt be a show if it werent for the books to begin with.
Too short to be very excited about what is next, but definately gonna give a shot to the second part.
I do not consider reading this book was a waste of time. And I must admit I did miss some of the characters from the series here.
