Not as good as the original, but good. There are somethings.that confuse within the book, and there are so many characters that sometimes is confusing.
As has already been said a few times... from the style of the cover, this book appears to be an Agatha Christie style cosy Christmas murder mystery (if murder can ever be considered as such!), but the cover does not reflect the content and the story is very dark. I don't tend to read reviews beforehand, but I think this book needs a trigger warning for serious sexual assault and controlling relationships, as anyone affected by that would certainly not enjoy reading this. It felt very out of place really.
this was very slow and i wasn’t very invested in the characters but the ending was pretty good
I really enjoyed this to start with and was quite cute and cosy and then as the story got to the last quarter it kind of fell flat for me. Would recommend for an easy cosy Christmas read but just expected it to keep up momentum till the end
The cheerful author's note hides an incredibly dark story of domestic abuse which runs as a thread through several character storylines. Paired with quick funny dialogue, I may have read it in 3 hours because I could not put it down....
I give it a 3.5 rating yet I'm still not sure how I feel about the ending. I did enjoy the atmosphere but this isn't a cozy murder mystery book. If there are triggers you need to avoid, please read the warnings.

Well …. In comparison to her other book — this was just not as well written and the fact that the plot line is completely focused on sexual assault and rape — the story just didn’t do it for me — where is the moral line —for murder — helping the murderer getaway with it — it was a bad rewriting of Christie’s Orient express and for those of us who’ve experienced such things - be warned — trigger warning as we are all triggered by different things— I hope others will enjoy the book — but it just want my cup of tea
