Cooper Callahan is currently being added to my long list of book boyfriends. He’s so sweet and understanding he didn’t try and force penny into anything she wasn’t comfortable with. Penny is also being added to my long list of book girlfriends. Throughout this book you see how she becomes confident and takes control of her sex life. I love how there both bookworms and kind of nerdy when it comes to fantasy. When reading this you can see when they fall in love. There were scenes in this book that made me want to scream because of how cute they were. I think it’s amazing how there was mental health representation and how the author showed that you can come back from something that hurt you mentally and physically no matter how long it takes.

ughhhh the spice is there, i loved cooper & penny, but i just don’t like the writing style. i think that’s why i didn’t like first down all the much either. the ending of this book is so abrupt too. ugh im so sad that i can’t say that i loved it.
