What is love? How many kinds of love are there? Love as feeling, love as action, love as a way of relating to others or to our own experience. What if we were guided in a deep phenomenological investigation of opening to love, our fears surrounding it, the obstacles to feeling love or actively loving others, its central importance in our desiring and needs. It’s possible relation to honestly and truth. It’s relation to our psychological history, our wounds, our personality, our spiritual yearnings, and our many human possibilities?

Isn’t it crazy we’re taught math and doge ball in school but somehow we’re just supposed to figure out love on our own and rarely do we even find a space to inquire and ask questions about the things that matter most?

It’s a little crazy.

Luckily this book offers such a space and opportunity.

This book is an inquiry into love within a spiritual and psychological [mostly psychoanalytical] context. It’s the first book in a three part series. I loved this book as I love all of A.H. Almaas’ work.
