this mortal coil
i want to start this off by saying that my review might not be the most reliable. i’ve had this book for a long time and i’ve re-read this book enough times that i’ve developed an emotional bond to this book so i might be a biased when it comes to this book.
that being said, i adored this book! the concept of the world that Catrina lives in is so intriguing to me. i love the idea of gene-hacking and the computer science element in this book.
not to mention i also loved, Cole and Leoben. they had a nice dynamic and they were very fun to read.
i have to admit that i did not like the weird ‘love triangle’ thing with Dax, Catrina and Cole, i feel like it was unnecessary to the plot.
lastly i enjoyed the plot twist, it was unexpected and intriguing! it was shocking to find out what exactly happened and it was well executed.
the conclusion is that i truly enjoyed this book and because of my love for computer science and biochemistry, i truly enjoyed this book. i hope everyone else did too:)
