If you’re a fan of Greek mythology, you’ll enjoy this book. A “modern day” retelling of Hades and Persephone - if the gods were still around today and owned clubs, basically mega celebrities of the 21st century. I loved the world this story took place in, with magic and oracles mingling with gods and mortals alike - cities like new Athens and new Greece being the backdrop for a classic story - even as our FMC interned as a journalist still in college.

I loved the first half of the book; felt like the plot got a little lost in spicy scenes about 3/4 of the way through; but then loved the wrap up/surprise twists of the rest of the book. Be prepared for frequent romance scenes (although not as intensely graphic as some books).

I felt like this book could’ve been a stand alone novel, but know there’s at least 7 books in the hades/hadesXpersephone sagas. I’m starting A Touch of Ruin next, but I’m not sure if I’m reading in the right order!! Should I be reading A Game of Fate first?

I loved the story and the chemistry between the characters- very excited to see where this series goes. Persephone can be really annoying at times though.

3.5! Good book, and will continue series. Not in love with it, and a bit spicier than I usually read… but I do enjoy the world it’s set in. Main character is not super likable for me yet.

It was cute, well paced, funny, a bit snarky, and kept me up reading until 3:00 in the morning one night. Made me want to read the next book and other series by this author.
