First, hated the ending.
It felt like the author just gave up on the story, and it didn't read at all like a mysterious ambiguous choice.
Second, like the other book I read by this author, the premise is really promising, but the execution doesn't work. It doesn't seem like she knows what a meme is as opposed to a social media trend. And these kids skip school WAY too much for the current technological age. It's just not realistic. I think I need to move onto another author. Also too many people died again for me to really try to care about each one. I feel like the author gets away with not digging into deep emotion by just killing another character. So the characters have murder whiplash instead of facing their grief and fear.

I don’t know why I keep reading Natasha Preston books because they always deny me so much. The endings are always cliffhangers, and there will be no sequels. In this book I was able to figure out who did it after only 1/3 of the book, which isn’t horrible but it was just very glaringly obvious for me. There were also quite a few plot holes that really irked me.  Overall, I just did not like it, and would not recommend.
when Axel and Izzy were running from Tristan in the cabin, did they forget about the running car that Tristan left?? Like just get in the car?
