It’s not the plot that often draws me to Junji Ito’s work but the illustrations. And I was pleasantly surprised by this character Tomie as soon as she was introduced she’s impossible. Women rule “horror” honestly. Under this mindset a Tomie is very enjoyable, a vengeful woman who you can’t get rid of and just won’t die.

Another wonderful group of stories from Junji Ito. Tomie is probably the character everyone recognizes the most with his work. Even if you've never read a single story from him you have most likely seen her face somewhere. Which honestly adds so much to the idea of her story. This took me a little while to get through not because I wasn't enjoying it but just because of how large this book is. But every time I picked it up I had a wonderful time and had no clue where it would go next. While Tomie is evil in some ways it's also very easy to root for her. She is such a unique character that while you might not necessarily like her you like following her story and seeing what chaos she will cause next. A great collection that I of course adored.

Nahh this is my first junji ito read and I am in love , I have been meaning to get more into horror and I’m so happy I did . I love the way Junji Ito’s mind works, like literally kept me guessing, the attention to detail everything was so amazing can’t wait to dive into more
