This felt a bit repetitive by the end.... I felt that most of the character development was already done by the 13th chapter. The negative effects of society's beauty standards was portrayed in a very different way than what I am used to reading, but that made it unique to me. I liked the way it just ended, but I would've liked a different ending -
Tomie was already spread out into the world, and just showing that version of her escaping at the end, when there were already so many of them out there, didn't pack a punch. On the other side, I really found it interesting that Tomie didn't want other versions of her to exist - was it because of her being faced with beauty that paralleled her own? Also, her character slowly morphing into the very monster she doesn't want to be called.... That I felt was very clever.

If only it had been shorter, I would've loved it.
