Heated Pursuit is a jammed packed adventure book with some romance. Penny or Red as Rafe calls her, is on a mission to find her niece in Honduras. This also happens to be were she sees her long lost foster brother. He is apart of the Alpha security team, they are the ones that get sh** done no questions asked. Well with Penny they are asking questions. But her determination and skills catch the eye of Rafe, who is Alpha Securities combat coordinator. These 2 working together leads to some sexy sexy time. The sex scenes are amazing, very descriptive. Everything about this book from the characters, to the places, to the situations, the attention to detail the author has is spot on. I could see it all in my head and feel like i was there with everyone. You couldn't help.but route for Penny and Rafe. Hope that they go in with this electric connection only to come out stronger then ever. I loved how they tried to fight the feelings they had only to be thrust together to solve the problem. And when i say thrust i mean there was some good thrusting.
The twists and turns had me on the edge of my seat. I couldn't put it down, i wanted to know what was going to happen next. I tried to guess but it kept me on my toes thats for sure. I do hope there will be other book in the Alpha Security Team.

Great debut novel. Although it was your typical alpha- soldier book, it did keep my attention. I personally would have liked more suspense and not so much jungle sex. I think the author wanted to keep the reader in suspense about Rachel, but I would've liked to have read about what was going on with her as well. I also felt like it repeated itself a little with the characters feelings with Rafe not feeling he is capable of love and Penny's lack of an affectionate father.

Overall, a good book and will read the sequel.

Fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants action mixed with steamy romance and engaging characters and you have yourself a cracking new series!!!

Penny has gone from being a social worker to a bounty hunter and now she is out for blood after her niece has been kidnapped. She tried calling in the good guys but they weren't moving fast enough, hence why she is now neck deep in trouble in Honduras!!!

Rafe is alpha to the core. Former special forces and now working for a private security group, Alpha Security group, he can't believe it when he finds a delectable little red head in way over her head on her search for her niece, which coincides with his current mission.

Penny has survived a cold, unfeeling father, having no motherly influence and a sadly lacking lovelife. Her "big brother" may be on Rafe's team but that doesn't mean she trusts them to do the job right. Rafe may be charming and deadly but Penny is more than a match for him. Stubborn to the core and loyal to a fault, she is a perfect mix of strength and vulnerability.

I enjoyed meeting all the Alpha team members and my only quibble was I wanted to know more about Penny and Treys relationship. I thoroughly enjoyed my delve into this world and can't wait for more!!! I really hope that Penny's dad gets involved in a later story cos I really wanna see that man on his knees and in need of saving after all he put Penny through!

2.75 This was your standard contemporary, suspense novel. You have your alpha hero who's part of a group of ex-military special forces who now have their own private, security/mercenary business. I did like the h/H, but I wish there was more depth to their characters. Points for the Hubble reference. As a NASA geek, it's something that I can appreciate.
