The Mindf*ck series feels like a mix between the TV show Revenge, the telenovela La Doña, and the psychology of Criminal Minds. The town of Delaney Grove is absolutely giving Sodom and Gomorrah vibes, from corruption to murder, rape, and dark secrets buried beneath the surface.
I devoured this series. Lana Myers’ revenge was unforgettable, brilliant, and wild. I love romance, but I was far more invested in her vengeance than in her love story with Logan. The romance was intriguing, but it was her mission that kept me hooked.
Normally, I stay away from dark romance because of whole kidnapping or mafia plots. But this was different. Was it dark? Yes —but more of a psychological thriller, with suspense, pain, and purpose. It was haunting and addictive, and I was captivated from beginning to end.

The writing just kinda drags in some places. I understand the author’s developing the story but the exposition between the action scenes and the smut scenes is just really boring to read and feels like a chore.
