I'm not entirely sure what I expected going into this book but a cozy fantasy sure wasn't it! That said I adored the story, so full of heart and nuanced in the depiction of the complexities of human relationships. I understand Shesheshen deeply: being human is indeed very hard, and sometimes it just isn't worth it to appear "normal." This book is very necessary across the board, not just to the neurodivergent community.

Slow to read, but an interesting concept. Love the characters and the setting. Epilogue was a great addition.

this was so adorable and funny and fresh that i genuinely looked forward to my time listening to it everyday and, now that it’s over, i’m mourning the fact that there’s no more homily and shesheshen to start my morning with tomorrow, i’ll miss these girls so much
